An elegant umbrella for rain or shine made by a traditional craftsman
A fresh umbrella with a retro Madras check. The pattern is carefully matched, and in order to create an elegant form, it is a masterpiece that shines with craftsmanship down to the details, such as the wrap decoration that is hand-attached with the same fabric to the ferrule. One of the attractions is the fabric that makes the person who wears it look gentle. Over 90% UV protection for all seasons.
Designated as a traditional craft of Tokyo in 2018, [Tokyo Western Usa] is a traditional method that has been used for over 100 years since the Meiji era. It is an umbrella made by work. It combines fineness and strength that cannot be found in mass-produced products overseas, and even though it is a parasol, it has been treated to be waterproof, so it can be used for both rain and shine.
Rare domestic bamboo handle
The handle is an elegant Japanese bamboo with tight knots that are easy for women to grip. A craftsman bends it by hand, and it is an original that does not have the same burn or bend.
Currently, the number of domestic cold bamboos that can be harvested is decreasing, and only two craftsmen in Japan are capable of this processing, so we have adopted a very rare handle.
“Take Kurunpa” (Omori Shoten) is handmade one by one by craftsmen, so there are individual differences in the size of the curved circle.
After use, we recommend that you dry it in the shade overnight before storing it.
